We want useful, reader-friendly information and advice pertaining to Okanagan lifestyle. Writers: pay ranges from 20 cents to 25 cents per published word, depending on experience (paid within 30 days of publication).

Seattle magazine is the areas definitive city and regional magazine that helps people get the most out of living in the Puget Sound. The editors assign approximately 75% of the stories each month to local freelance writers. The average department length story (1200 words) pays about $350 and the average feature length story (1500-3500 words) pays from $400-$1,000, depending on the story. Some very short pieces (200-300 words) pay $50-$100. These rates are not guaranteed and vary widely.
