As the flagship publication of the NWTF, Turkey Country is dedicated to the interests and entertainment of wild turkey enthusiasts everywhere people who hunt, study and actively support the restoration and conservation of the North American wild turkey. Turkey Country feature articles focus on the restoration, management, biology, distribution, history and hunting of wild turkeys. Features run 1,000 to 1,200 words and range $350 to $550 in payment. Departments run 500 to 1,000 words and range $250 to $350 in payment.

Trapper & Predator Caller accepts stories focused on methods and equipment used in trapping, calling or hunting. Highest consideration will be given to stories focused on methods and equipment used in trapping, calling or hunting. We also accept historical pieces, personality profiles and unusual experience stories. Feature stories should be between 1,500 and 2,500 words. Pays up to $250 for assigned articles. Payment is made within 45 days of publication. The amount is based on the quality of writing and photography as a package.

The Contemporary Sportsman is a quarterly online magazine devoted to people who share a serious passion for fly fishing and wing shooting. Each quarterly publication has at least three Feature Articles about fly fishing (fresh or salt) and/or wing shooting. An average Feature Article contains 2,500 to 3,000 words. Payment is made upon publication. Payment: $450 to $700 for Feature Articles, based on quality not length.

Small Farm Today magazine is dedicated to preserving and promoting small farming, rural living, community and agripreneurship. We need “how-to” articles (how to grow, raise, market, build, etc), as well as articles about small farmers who are experiencing success through diversification, specialty/ alternative crops and livestock, and direct marketing. Length, depending on subject, should probably be between 800 and 3,000 words. Missouri Farm Publishing, Inc. buys first serial rights and nonexclusive reprint rights (the right to reprint article in an anthology) for both manuscripts and photos.
