Adventures in Odyssey Clubhouse
Focus on the Family Clubhouse readers are 8- to 12-year-old boys and girls who desire to know more about God and the Bible. Their parents (who typically pay for the membership) want wholesome, educational material with Scriptural or moral insight. The kids want excitement, adventure, action, humor or mystery. All nonfiction should fall between 400-500 or 800-1,000 words. Pays 15 to 25 cents a word.
Clubhouse Jr. Magazine
Clubhouse Jr. is a 32-page magazine designed to inspire, entertain and teach Christian values to children ages 3 to 7. With a circulation of approximately 60,000, the magazine reaches young readers and their parents all over the world. Unsolicited fiction, nonfiction and Bible stories pay $100-$200, depending on how much editing is required (and other factors). An average payment for poetry is $50-$100. Puzzles pay $30-$80, and rebus stories pay $75-$150.
Family Chronicle Magazine
Family Chronicle Magazine, published bimonthly, is written for family researchers by people who share their interest in genealogy and family history. Word length: up to 2K words/article. Payment: 8 cents per word, plus $7 for each photo.
Georgia Family Magazine
Georgia Family Magazine is a complete and trusted local source of information relating to parenting. Many of Georgia Family articles are purchased from freelance writers. In a typical issue, readers will find a variety of regular departments: GO: Calendar of Events, Travel, Family Mouse, Childrens Health Bulletin, Womens Health, Ages and Stages (015) and more. Features require careful research, independent reporting, and well-developed story lines. We prefer articles which can be localized to parenting in Central Georgia. However, we do consider general articles which relate to the family. We rarely print articles over 700 words. Georgia Family pays on average $20-$80 for first publication rights to feature stories.

MetroFamily Magazine is dedicated to informing parents and empowering families. The goal of our features, departments, and columns is to educate, inspire, and uplift readers. The editors are interested in well-written, thought-provoking feature stories (800-1,500 words), short features (400-750 words) or shorts (up to 400 words) that focus on timely issues and highlight local experts or conditions. Payment: $40-$60 per article.
New Jersey Family magazine
New Jersey Family is always looking for experienced freelance writers and bloggers to contribute to the magazine, ancillary publications, and website. Our mission is to help New Jersey parents (of babies through teens) be the best parents they can be; we strive for a good mix of fun and substantive stories. Feature articles: 600 to 1,200 words. Portland Family Magazine is a bi-monthly regional publication which focuses on the positive accomplishments of those involved in the arts, politics, environment, healthcare, technology, religion and ethics, housing, and culture. We publish several features in each edition, from hard-hitting articles about weighty topics to pieces designed for entertainment. Portland Family Magazine pays on a variable scale depending on length/complexity of the article based on a contract between the editor and the writer.
Richmond Family Magazine
