Notre Dame Magazine is published quarterly by the University of Notre Dame for more than 150,000 readers, most of whom are graduates of the university. The magazine reports on alumni activities, people and trends, and examines a broad spectrum of cultural issues. Feature stories, typically 2,000 words or more, comprise the major part of the magazine. The magazine buys first serial and electronic rights. Payment (comparable to fees paid by some national publications) is made upon acceptance. Payment is between $250-$3,000, depending on length.

ONLINE is written and edited for librarians and other professionals who routinely use online services for information delivery, research, and knowledge management. Articles are directed to the “hands on” searcher and to managers of information resources in business, professional, and educational environments. ONLINE stresses practical, how-to advice on the efficient and effective use of electronic information. Article length: 1500-4000 words. Payment varies according to the article’s complexity, length, quality, and original research.

Teachers & Writers magazine

Teachers & Writers magazine welcomes articles about teaching the art of writing in kindergarten through college and in non-classroom settings. Teachers & Writers also welcomes submissions on related topics, such as oral history, translation, and teaching writing in combination with other arts. The Teachers & Writers Magazine Editorial Board welcomes submissions related to the following magazine sections. Educating the Imagination–Articles, essays, editorials, and meditations that explore T&W’s mission, “educating the imagination,” tackle current issues and concerns in arts education, and/or advocate for the value of literary arts education. (1,5003,000 words). Contributors receive a small honorarium, payable upon publication, and copies of the magazine.

Texas Home School Coalition REVIEW

THSC REVIEW is published quarterly in February, May, August, and November. We are interested in curriculum reviews as well as how-to articles that explore different approaches for various learning stylesin particular subject areas such as math, writing, spelling, history, good citizenship, etc. The ideal length of an article is 650 750, for one page and 1000 1250 words for two pages. Pays $100 for articles.

The College Store publishes articles to help collegiate retailers improve their service, operations, and bottom line. The editors are interested in effective practices, emerging trends, problem solving, and innovations related to running a successful college store. Feature articles generally range from 1,200 to 2,000 words. Payment for freelance assignments is on acceptance and determined in advance by mutual agreement.

Tribal College Journal seeks feature articles addressing the following themes. All feature articles must involve tribal colleges in some way. Possible feature article topics are listed, but alternative topics on each theme are welcome. The editors want both long features (2000 words) and short features (500-1000 words).
