North Dakota Horizons magazine

North Dakota Horizons is North Dakota’s state magazine, with a circulation in all 50 states and several foreign countries. This quarterly magazine promotes North Dakota’s many virtues–its clean environment, open spaces, friendly and creative people, rich culture and heritage, interesting things to see and do, and its thriving economy. North Dakota Horizons seeks short, nonfiction articles or essays (1,000 to 1,200 words) and feature articles (1,500 to 2,000 words). Pays: 20 cents a word for articles; and $125 to $300 for photos. Photo rates are usually based on a one-time use.
