Guideline
Alabama Heritage magazine
Alabama Heritage is the nonprofit publication of the University of Alabama. Published quarterly, the editors seek articles that show connections between the past and the present, between Alabama and the rest of the world. Alabama Heritage publishes articles on local, state, and regional history, art, literature, language, archeology, music, religion, architecture, and natural history. Word length: 2,000-4,500/feature article; and 250-1200 words/short piece. Alabama Heritage purchases articles on a “work-for-hire” basis.
