Two nine-month fellowships are awarded annually to fiction writers, poets, playwrights, and screenwriters who reside in the Bronx. A $5,000 award is given, and a residency at the Bronx Writers' Center is required as part of the fellowship's community service component. Applications must be received by 5 pm on Friday, June 15, 2007. There is no entry fee. Literary artists who reside in the Bronx, and are not enrolled as full-time students in an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible to apply.
