Helium Partners with Society of Professional Journalists

 Helium (http://www.helium.com/), the world's largest writing community, has partnered with the Society of Professional Journalists (http://www.spj.org/), the nation's most broad-based journalism organization. As part of the alliance, SPJ is inviting 6,000 of Helium's best writers to join the ranks of its professional journalists. Simultaneously, SPJ is encouraging its entire membership, which includes nearly 10,000 journalists, to leverage Helium as a platform to build their digital writing credentials and showcase their work in front of thousands of publishers online.
One of the oldest organizations representing journalists in the United States, SPJ's mission is to promote and defend the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and freedom of the press; encourage high standards and ethical behavior in the practice of journalism; and promote and support diversity in journalism.
