Howard Phillips Lovecraft (August 20, 1890 - March 15, 1937), better known as H.P. Lovecraft, was an American author of horror, fantasy and science fiction, especially the subgenre known as weird fiction. He derived his stories of weird fiction from themes of horror and fantasy. H.P. Lovecraft wrote an article in 1933, entitled, "Notes on Writing Weird Fiction," in
