<title>dablackburn: Hello to all</title>
<link>http://www.freelancewriting.com/forums/index.php?a=vtopic&amp;t=898</link>
<description>dablackburn: My name is Devon and I live in a small rural town in north east Texas. I&#039;m currently 19 years old, soon to be 20, and attending a local community college. I&#039;ve loved writing since I was very young, and have always felt it&#039;s a good way to express myself...as well as showcase what I consider to be a talent. I joined this site in the hopes that I could come across CREATIVE freelance writing jobs, rather than just writing three pages of advertisement for a new product. I hope to be a good addition to this community, and have fun communicating with all of you!

<title>PamelaMorgan: THE IMPACTS OF THE INTERNET AND INTERNET SERVICES&#039; DEVELOPMENTS</title>
<link>http://www.freelancewriting.com/forums/index.php?a=vtopic&amp;t=894</link>
<description>PamelaMorgan: In the recent years, the growth, development and innovations made in the Internet and the World Wide Web have been very phenomenal and influential. In a matter of less than a decade, almost the whole world has known what the Internet is and has availed of its services. Over the years, the development of the Internet has been exponential. It was able to touch business (eCommerce or eBusiness), education (eLearning), governance (eGovernance), and a lot of other aspects such as gaming, entertainment and recreation. And as these services prospered they paved the way for other more innovative and more powerful programs and services. Thus considering these developments, it may appear understandable why more and more people everyday are choosing to stay in front of their personal computers to do their everyday tasks and jobs. The internet and its services have indeed taken the world by storm.
Today, students are spending more time in front of the internet since most of their activities are becoming computer and internet based. For one, their home works nowadays cannot be easily done anymore without the aid of a computer and an internet connection. Their researching tasks can now be aided by custom essay sites from any buy essay sites to complete an essay writing homework appears to be very apparent. This is just one hint which gives people an idea on the impacts of technology in the lives of people, especially the young ones- who apparently seem to be the most fascinated with it. Moreover, most business transactions and processes nowadays are also being supported by the Internet. Some would also even say that nothing is impossible anymore to the internet because everything would seem to be very accessible already. Surely, this appears to be a good thing about the Internet. However, it surely also has several disadvantages. For one, it may promote laziness especially for those who would choose to do everything by clicking a button instead of going through the conventional process where a persons effort is really visible. Furthermore, Internet services nowadays are also being roots of privacy issues as well as censorship issues. Since anything seems to be accessible through the internet, even peoples private and personal details and identities are becoming possible to be accessed. And aside from this, the uncontrolled and uncensored messages accessible to young people through the internet are also alarming lots of parents since this is one of the most prevalent causes of bad influence such as profanity, vices, aggression, rebellion and sexual messages. Thus this may imply that as the Internet posts a lot of advantages and aid to the people of the world, it may also cause some disturbances and chaos if people would not be responsible enough in utilizing it and its services.

<title>shamrock838: Scan Color 35mm’s &amp; B/W’s Digitally?</title>
<link>http://www.freelancewriting.com/forums/index.php?a=vtopic&amp;t=893</link>
<description>shamrock838: Scan Color 35mm’s &amp; B/W’s Digitally?:

As a writer/photographer of nonfiction magazine articles, I have supporting illustrations in these formats:
1. COLOR - older 35mm color transparencies + newer digital images.
2. B/W - older glossy prints and negative strips.

Should I first scan the color 35mm’s and B/W’s into digital format? If so, which format: - JPG, PDF, TIF?

Lastly, wouldn’t digitizing everything also guard against possible loss of irreplaceable illustrations? I would then transfer these to a CD for submission.

Thanks.</description>
