( Added: November 2, 2009 ) - Online broadband network Zoom In Online is hosting a contest giving video editors a chance to win thousands of dollars in production gear. Grass Valley, in association with Magnet Media, presents "Cut and
Win," a contest in which entrants submit a 60-second or less commercial spot promoting Grass Valley's nonlinear editing program, EDIUS.
The style and message of the commercial is open to interpretation; the only requirement is that the video is a promotion for EDIUS software, and the
commercial uses HUMOR to convey its message. Submissions will be judged on the basis of CREATIVITY and AESTHETICS with humorous entries weighted more heavily for winning consideration. Contestants are otherwise encouraged to take creative license and produce a commercial that touts the software in
an entertaining fashion. Entries will be accepted until DECEMBER 9, 2009.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a full production and post-production kit including:
* HP ProBook Laptop Loaded with EDIUS Nonlinear Editing Software
