"For the 23rd year, the Jack Webster Foundation presents its annual award {program in the name of one of BC's best-known journalists," Sweeney said. {"From 1947 to 1987, in print, open-line radio and TV, the late Jack Webster {engaged a generation of British Columbians with his hard-hitting style of {journalism.
"This year, in the spirit of Jack's ability to judge the temper of his {times, we are very pleased to announce a new award to recognize outstanding {work in BC Online Journalism."
Eligible BC print, broadcast and online journalists can enter to win a {"Webster" statue in the following categories:
- News (one each for print, radio and TV), { - Feature (one each for print, radio and TV), { - Science, Technology, Health and Environment, { - Legal Journalism, { - Business, Industry and Economics, { - Community, { - Chinese Language, { - Commentator of the Year City Mike Award, { - Online Journalism (new for 2009),
Submissions must have been aired or published between June 1, 2008 and {May 31, 2009. Deadline for entry is June 30, 2009.

The awards will be presented at the 2009 Jack Webster Awards Dinner on {Tuesday, October 20th in Vancouver.
