( November 12, 2007 ) - Wi-Fi TV announced this morning the creation of an exclusive
TV station to be delivered globally on the Internet that presents the viewpoints of striking
writers.
"Beyond the strike, this is the beginning of the shift in TV delivery from
over-the-air to the Internet, and the beginning of the end of the old studio system where
writers and actors are commodities for hire with no ownership in the product," said Alex
Kanakaris, Chairman of Wi-Fi TV.
"Wi-Fi TV is going to interview and present viewpoints directly from those
involved in the current strike and we are going to open up the station to user created
videos from any actor or writer who wants to take a stand on one of the most important
issues of our times: Writing in the age of the Internet," Mr. Kanakaris added.
Wi-Fi TV yesterday launched its all new Wi-Fi TV interactive TV web site at
www.Wi-FiTV.com. This is the first global web site featuring live TV with live chat,
on-demand video and user video all in one web site. In addition, the new Social Internet
TV web site features user hosted live video party rooms and a virtual phone.
WritersVoice TV will launch next week at www.WritersVoiceTV.com, a part of
the all new www.Wi-FiTV.com
An extensive global marketing and promotion campaign is planned, and Wi-Fi TV
is expanding into China and Europe.
