Vocus, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand software for public relations management, today announced that its 2009 Users Conference will feature a panel of leading journalists discussing "How to Approach the Media" at 9:00 am on June 5, 2009. Panelists include Steve Wildstrom of BusinessWeek, Grant Gross of IDG News Service, Rick Dunham of The Houston Chronicle and Joe Williams of the Boston Globe. The journalists will discuss the changes in the media landscape and how PR professionals can build strong relationships with the media to ensure pitching success.

"This year's conference will offer our customers techniques to increase the momentum of their communications campaigns and get results that demonstrate their impact on the company's bottom line," said Bill Wagner, chief marketing officer at Vocus, Inc. "Featuring prestigious journalists from leading outlets, our panel will provide our customers with the insight they need to build media relationships that will help get their stories told."

The eighth annual Vocus Users' Conference will take place June 4-5, 2009 at The Mandarin Oriental in downtown Washington, D.C. Vocus customers will gather to explore how their organizations are using Vocus to increase the effectiveness of their public relations, government relations and PAC campaigns.
